lol i know i have an oil leak on my pan however i also know im burning oil some where in the engine. im pretty sure its the piston rings.
my questions are if it where the piston rings would i notice a drop in power? becaus i havnt. second is if i do a compression test and every cylinder is ok then where else can oil be getting in from? the turbo? I checked the hot pipe and its fine and the intake side of the turbo looks good perhaps its on the exhaust side of the turbine? |

It's probably your turbo.
Remove the dp and see if there is oil in it. How much oil is in the intake side? A small bit is normal [from the PCV], but alot = leakage. -------------------- ![]() |

QUOTE(alltracman78 @ Aug 10, 2006 - 2:31 AM) It's probably your turbo. Remove the dp and see if there is oil in it. How much oil is in the intake side? A small bit is normal [from the PCV], but alot = leakage. i checked the intake side a few days ago and there inst n e thing massive its the exhaust side i think my problem is... if it were the rings i would have blue smoke because the oil would be burned rather then just heated up and smoking right? if it where the rings what else would i notice.... my idle is fine motor sounds fine |
