are there now prefab replacements for the climate control unit bulbs??
check this out, go here http://autolumination.com/74.htm search for: Neo - Wedge those messurements of 10mm x 13mm are damn close to the special toyota bulbs that back-light the climate control unit. OK here are some pics from their site
first take the CC unit out (follow the how-to on this site) then take off the back white plastic cover (the UK guys have a black cover in back) take out the 3 bulbs that are there then widen the holes a little so you can fit these bulbs in ![]() we solder the ends of the 3 bulbs to wires ![]() and glue them into the back of the unit (I used hot glue) and put the back cover on ![]() then put the +s and the -s together and tap power from the cigarette lighter light ring so they turn on when your lights are switched on. it isn't a simple job and it does take some wiring know how but over all it isn't too difficult. -------------------- |
