A/C compressor, How should i install it? Options

I have a 94 ST and im just wondering what i should do to install it properly...ive heard that you should put on some kind of filter for about ten hours. THis is to catch all the crap that was left behind when the old A/C went. Also there is no oil in this compressor, any idea of what oil ours need. I belive there are two different weights a 40 and 150 for compressors. Also any idea of how much oil I would need.

i just went through this with my car. here is what i found out...

the proper way to do it is to put it on a vac pump to take out all the air that is in the lines, and then fill it up. my local shop wanted about 250$ to vac everything out and refill everything.....F that. i asked how much it would cost just to vac it out, and they said 80$.... just to hook it up to a pump for 30min. again F that.

you can find the vac pumps and gauges on ebay for about 60bucks, if you want to do it right. you can also just refill it without going with a vac pump, like tweak said. this will work but the AC might not blow as cold as it should. i filled mine up, and then started to purge it untill i saw white gas come out. its kind of a ghetto way to bleed it, but it worked well for me.
