For a while off and on i have had the egr 7-1 check light, and it seems to be killing my gas milage. I was just wondering if there is any way to check this out at the house. Iv checked vacume hoses, and iv replaces the vaccume modulator (from the junk yard) and i was jsut wondering what else to do.

I havent got around to checking the egr valve just yet though so im not sure if its bad. heheheheheh get rid of that evil EGR altogether heheheheh vsv = vacuum sensing valve, this gay little valve that sends a signal to the egr and other things i think....sits right by the cooling-water outlet. close its a vacuum switching valve, it opens giving the egr vacuum when the computer decides to turn on egr assuming certain things are happening like proper engine temp, speed, throttle position and so on.it should be under the intake manifold and its a pain to get to. make sure the hoses going to it are ok, and if you want sometime next week i can try to email the diagnosis procedure on it. -------------------- ![]() |
