when I installed my wheels the guy at the shop put the nuts in such a nice way that messed up the bolts, so now I need to change them the problem is that one of the bolts is turning with the nuts so I would like to know if some of you have any experience on this and if you know any trick, I don't wanna damage my wheel during this process.

they stripped the stud in the hub, take it back and make THEM fix it. this is caused by using an impact wrench to tighten your lugnuts down, which is horrible! after they fix it never go back to that shop.

Um no? Well, sorta. If they did it, they should be the ones fixing it. But I highly doubt a impact stripped the teeth [I'm not talking about the threads, I'm talking about the teeth that lock the stud to the hub]. I have NEVER seen an impact do that. I have seen guys hammer away with an impact til the nut won't turn at all [I dont' do this]. I've seen steel wheels with the steel around where the nut seats almost cut away from repeated abuse, but I've never seen the teeth stripped from an impact. -------------------- ![]() |
