alright, im leaning toward a wore out clutch since it has 130,000 miles on it. im not sure if the owner before me changed it. alright when i shift fast from a stop(this is only when im powershifting), when i go from 1st to 2nd, i shift but i don't drop the clutch i make sure i don't do that, but even though i make sure of this it sounds like its dropping anyway and it feels like it is too. am i letting out the clutch too fast and its not releasing in time so it drops it ?
thanks jimmy |

Try these methods-
1.) With your car in 4th or 5th gear at around 3-3.5k RPMs, when you hammer the gas the clutch will break loose and slip like crazy....bad clutch. 2.) The clutch disk engagement feels very high. Time for a new clutch. 3.) At a stop in 1st gear, rev the motor to a moderate RPM and disengage the clutch quickly. Instead of the car jumping foward, the clutch will sit there and slip like a bastard and/or smell like buring clutch. Time for a new clutch!! I just bought an OEM clutch yesterday and plan on putting it in this week. I've been suffering from some serious slipping lately and its time to replace that mofo. -------------------- 3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting. |
