 xbox 360 in car, need help |

ok so last week i bought a new deck. its and eclipse dvd player and it also has a function where you cna plug something eles to the screen (just like TV's) so i thought. "hey ill plug in my xbox" so i got all the cords and junk for it and a power inverter. everything works but when i turn on the inverter and try to play the xbox it dosnt get enough power. it sopposed to give out enough power though. also my engine is on. is it my battier or my alternator? or will it just not work?

ya i got a new power inverter i got one from car toys its works better than the radio shack one
 and im just got hide it if i ever bring it anywhere in my car. most likely the only place will be at school and every one knows its my car and not to mess with it lol
