Hey all,
Fall is just arownd the corner and I was thnking I would disconnect the a/c and try to free up some more of the little engine power i have with the 7afe. Is the best way just to take off the belt? Would It even be worth it? If any one has done it i would love some pointers.
thnx, SpooNr

are you wanting to take the compressor off and everything? or just "disconnect it". bc if you want to take the compressor off, you will be needing a new belt..also, it's just as fine to just not run the A/C when you want the "extra power"...

When we did it in my friend beemer we took the whole thing out. I cant remmeber if we put in a new a belt or not. After, we could definitely feel the difference between when the A/C was OFF and when we took out the whole unit. Neways I could take out the comp but i was wonder if i could short cut that and get the same bennies. If not, I would love to hear from someone who has acctually done it. smile.gif
