Let me first thank you for taking a look.
Anyways, a co-worker of mine notice me checking out this site and we got to talking about cars and such. He has an 03' Kia Rio (it gets better) with a 1.6L motor. He has asked me if there was a way to get better performance ie. turbo or supercharging. I told him I would look into it and came up with very little. What I'm asking this forum is if anyone has heard of something that would apply to my friends perdicament, please share the wealth. Links are very welcome. Thank you. -------------------- ![]() |

seriously, man, a kia rio?
as much as i hate to say it (i try to be nice), there isn't anything you can do for that car. even if you could find a way to add power, even as little as 50-75, the car isn't going to handle it. the trans and axles won't for sure. because there is little to no aftermarket support for that car, as well as a lack of a higher-powered or performance oriented sibling (a source for an engine swap, beefier drivetrain and susp parts, etc.), it's going to be impossible to do it without tripling his investment on it. unless he wants to reinvent the whole car with custom drivetrain, suspension, engine managment, and whatnot...he should just live with it or buy something else. the truth might hurt, but not as much as attempting to eek a few ponies out of a kia rio. -------------------- ![]() do you know who i am, mr. worley? |
