Timing belt, tensioner, etc.. and valve cover gasket.

$196 Parts
$200 Labor

Just got the car back tonight.

Isn't the water pump on the outside of the engine, and easy to change?

you thinking about the old engine where the water pump was put on the outside and driven by an accessory belt.

the modern engines have the water pump driven by the timing belt. So if you want to change the water pump you need to take off the timing belt and reset the cams/timing. Another reason is these two items (timing belt and water pump) tend to wear out about the same time. So its always adviced to change both.
