I have a Pioneer Head Unit and when u turn it off and hold the Function button you can get alot more options. One of the options changed the FRONT+REAR, to FRONT+SUB which allows you to control the subwoofers from the head unit.
anyway, when i used to listen to my stereo i had the LOUD feature set to mids. This gave me the moast bass, however the vocals sucked because the speakers were putting out low bass sounds instead of clear good sounds. once i changed the setting to Front+Sub (i have 2 pioneer 6.5" installed in front) it sounded much better beacuse i had all the bass in the subs and the speakers put out the sounds there were supposed too Any way enough bull sh*t heres the question: is there anyway to have my back 2 speakers on? i would like it if i could have them on just like the front and still have the bass go to the back (such as a FRT+REAR+SUB setting) thx for reading all this sh*t |

Are you running the front speaker off of the headunit or the amplifer. The front+rear and front+sub option effects the rca outputs and the internall crossover in the radio. In front+rear the rca's are full range and in front+sub the front channel is crossed over above the set freq. either 50/80/125Hz and the sub below it.
If the rear speakers aren't hooked up you can wire them directly to the headunit and use it's internal amp. The 5500 is 50x4 supposedly. For the best sound use the amp you have for the subs. Connect it to the rear/sub output. Get yourself a 4 channel amp and run it from the front rca channel. You won't have fade controll but all 4 speakers will work. |
