Hello, I'm from Spain and I'm going to prepare my Celica 6gen GT 2.0 16v 175hp 3S-GE for rallys (sorry for my english, there is a lot of vocabulary that I don't control about cars)
I'm trying to find a short gearbox for my car but I can't. I've found for the GT4 version, but I supose that it can't fit on mine. Let me explain to you. I'don't know exactly how to call this. What I'm looking for is not the complete gearbox, it's just the pieces inside of it for making the gears shorter (at this moment the second gear goes to 100km/h and I want it to go to 80km/h) Do you know what I mean? Thanks a lot! This post has been edited by otes3000: Aug 23, 2006 - 6:16 AM -------------------- ![]() Saab 9-5 Aero 250hp / Peugeot 206 coupé-cabrio / Celica GT 3SGE 175hp |

what about using some of the gears from a 1.8 celica? I wouldn't expect it to be geared the same as the GT as its a smaller 8valve engine.
or maybe something from another toyota would have the correct gear ratios? |

I don't know, but this page tells me that a 1.8L Carina has 16 valves: http://www.carfolio.com/specifications/mod...5965&Toyota |

Could be wrong, I'm just going from what a mechanic told me. |
