Hey All,
So I came back to my Celica after a **** day at work today to find both my number plates missing... I reported it to the police who said this was very common and not much to worry about? My initial thoughts that I'd the police on my door tomorrow morning arresting me for a bank robbery however from looking on the web it appears the more common use for this is - Congestion charge avoidance - Petrol Station drive offs - Parking fines Has this happened to anyone else, am I in for a flood of speeding, parking and congestion charge fines? Is it worth re-registering the car wth a new plate? Cheers? |

that sucks! I hope everything turns out okay for you
I thought someone stole my back plate once, it was gone one morning....so I called the police & told them it was missing but that I was going to re-trace my steps for where I had driven the night before because I knew one of my bolts was lose, & amazingly enough I found it face down on a busy street a few miles from my place, mua ha!!! So while the light was red I jumped out & grabbed it.... I called the officer back within 10 min so he wouldnt report my plates as stolen, he was all suspicious & said "hmmm thats convenient" -------------------- ![]() |
