Im planning on painting my stock GT wheels gold, because, quite frankly, it just looks good with a black car.

The guy at autozone told me i didnt need an adhesion promoter. But im pretty sure i do.

If i thourghly clean the wheels, wet sand them. Then spray a couple coats of adhesion promoter, then paint. And finally finish up with a clear coat or two. Would that be the correct thing to do?
