Im planning on painting my stock GT wheels gold, because, quite frankly, it just looks good with a black car.
The guy at autozone told me i didnt need an adhesion promoter. But im pretty sure i do. If i thourghly clean the wheels, wet sand them. Then spray a couple coats of adhesion promoter, then paint. And finally finish up with a clear coat or two. Would that be the correct thing to do? |

dude, i've done this twice now without ever using anything but dupli-color wheel paint. i sanded thoroughly, cleaned with thinner, torched off the moisture and sprayed. the factory wheel paint is right on the metal, btw. toyota doesn't do things the hack way. if they just paint 'em, i just paint 'em.
