Hey I was just wondering about the options for downpipes and how they would line up to the exhaust?

Right now I have a primary cat from an MR2 and I am thinking of just gutting it and using it as my DP for my 5SFTE project. Down the road I would eventually upgrade to a full 3" mandrell bent DP. <--- I don't want this topic to turn into a discussion telling me to just go to the DP for better gains and lighter weights, I have read all those discussions many times on other forums.

I am just wondering if the shape of the DP on the MR2 is different than the shape on the Celica Alltrac DP, or are they the same where they bolt up to the manifold and the exhaust piping? Also, do the KO and the Berk DP's line up to the same spots? The reason I want to know is that if I were to use a gutted cat and have a cat back exhaust system built, would I be able to buy a DP and have it bolt up or would I need to rework my exhaust?

im pretty sure that the mr2 dp is shorter then the alltrac/gt4 dp but the difference is like a half inch so it doesnt matter too much when companies construct a dp for the 3s and thats the reason why there isnt a mr2 specific dp or a alltrac/gt4 specific dp. and believe you me. i know plenty about being half an inch short!
