Thanks to Doug and rjb23 for experimenting with other short shifters (Doug-EVO and rjb23-7th gen). I recieved mine (7th gen about $45 on ebay) and installed. It took about 1.5 hours from start to finish. I downloaded the instructions from TWMs website and read the ones in the how to articles.
I have to say the throw is much much shorter and about 1-2 inches lower than stock. My finger are kinda close to the dash but I think it is because I only used 2 of the 4 spacers (the back 2) plus I have big hands. I will put some pics up when I put the other 2 spacers in. Ya, it's almost done, just need to go borrow a bigger socket from a neighbour. Someone should've mentioned the newer bolts are bigger (not just longer) than the stock.
 (12mm originals, 14mm modified). It just happens my socket set for the bigger fittings are broken.  Time to hope my neighbour has one (stupid timing for a holiday) |
