 Engine revving weird |

Ok so lately my car has been revving weird. Whenim in 3rd-5th and cruising a long at say 2-3k rpms if I hit the gas the rpms jump up to 4-5k as if I had the clutch in, then they drop back down to about 3200 and drive normally. What could be wrong?

Also, if you opt out of the new flywheel, get the disk sooner rather than later, because the longer you go like that, the more screwed up your FW surface will get.
