I have 101,000 on my odometer. My dad told me to use 10W-40 motor oil; my friend told me to use 10W-30 what do you guys use or recommend me using on my car? I don't want to wear out my car....

a lot of the old boys say to throw in a heavier oil with an engine that is burning oil like the 10w40 or even 15w40.
Don't do it!!!  it will only kill your engine faster. Use what is specified for the engine. And I agree, synthetic is the only way to go, I use nothing but. |
