Is the difference between a KA24DE and a KA24E great enough to justify holding out for a 240 with one or the other? I'm not looking to do any crazy performance modifactions to either. Any major pros and cons to one or the other? I'm particularily curious to know if the less complex E would have a greater reliablity/longevity... Any help is greatly appreciated

the power diff. is fairly nice (140hp and 152 vs. 155hp and 160), but if I were to find a good KA24E powered one, does it make that much difference? I'm thinking daily driver here, so my main concerns are would the SOHC 12 valve head be as/more reliable and possibly better fuel efficiency. I'm asking because I would assume less valves also would equal less possible trouble if the car has 150,000+ miles on it...
EDIT- also- I've heard characteristically these engines are very similar to the 5SFE- this true (aka watch out for the head gaskets) ? This post has been edited by saleeka: Sep 12, 2006 - 10:37 PM -------------------- Car #3: 98 Accord LX- purchased 5/06, totaled 8/06
