Of course a GTS is going to kill a RSX (non-type S) Pit a GT Celica vs a RSX and you got bumper to bumper action Pit a GT-S Celica vs a RSX-S and you got a close race, but the RSX will come out on top Thing is though, the RSX's K24 is really no good for boost. Definately not worth it. The GT-S Celica can get more mods than the RSX (I think?) And we all know that the one with the most mods usually wins. -------------------- ![]() |

Nice to know you live up to your name... ![]() A base RSX will stomp a 7th gen Celica GT. C'mon... more torque, more horsepower (160 vs. 140). An RSX-S will stomp a 7th gen Celica GT-S. Again... more torque, more horsepower (200 vs. 180). The RSX also has the K20... which isn't the K24... which does take fairly well to boost. The stock K20 is strong enough to rev upwards of 9K fairly reliably. Although the A2 (type S motor) does have very high compression... these motors have been proven with bolt-on supercharger and turbo kits... so I'd say both motors are very strong (2ZZ and K20). Mods-wise? Hah... a Toyota versus a Honda. C'mon! Although the 2ZZ does have fair aftermarket support... it cannot compete with the K20A. ITB kits, supercharger kits, turbo kits, cams, cam gears even, pistons, rods, the whole she-bang. IMO... K20A = BEST factory n/a 4 cylinder hands down. -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"
1995 AT200 Celica ST: stocked out daily driver... 1984 AE86 Corolla GT-SR5: silvertop 20V 4AGE project car jacked up with goodies... 1991 SW2x MR2 n/a: bare bones hardtop model soon to be... |

Ehh ****, I was going off memory, which I guess was way off. I though the RSX Made 140 horsies/130'ish TQ at around the same RPM as a new celica. I checked it now, and was way off. K20? That was just my bad all around. hah. S2k has the K24, does it not? Again, going off my mind is def a bad idea. Ima have to check up on **** before I go rant on again ![]() -------------------- ![]() |
