QUOTE(azian_advanced @ Sep 14, 2006 - 6:14 PM) that's a st165 3sgte on a 88-89 GT Celica.. i was gonna go that route with my old 89 GT-S but ended up slipping and totalled the car. anyway.. i find those old celicas heavy for some reason but have very good handling, better than my 6th gen.. and those things rust like crazy! i'm surprised how clean it is.. plus it's a convertible. anyway, i find it a little overpriced for it to be used as a 'beater'. he's right ! I had one for two years, I loved the car, no mechanical problems at all, but there was nothing I could do to save it from selling it, I had rust everywhere; lucky me I sold the car to another 4th gen lover that needed some parts so I got 800 dollars for it. $ 4,000.00 is too much for that car specially since you don't know in what shape the motor is + to find parts for that engine is HARD. no a good beater. -------------------- ![]() |
