i was wondering....what ever happened to the guy who did the all wheel drive conversion on his celica? I forgot his name, and ive been wondering how the car is operating. did it break? is he still loving it? anybody know?

there are a few people who have done this, not just one.
there's lots of custom work, measuring, PRECISION involved in such a thing. you've gotta keep the frame straight, cut out the rear, weld in new floor pan, use a custom fuel cell, etc... by the time you're done with it, you may as well have bought an eclipse GSX, an older impreza, or something that came with AWD stock. one member here who had done the AWD swap complained that the thing constantly pulled to the left at high speeds - doesn't sound too safe to me. |
