When you get arrested does a cop HAVE TO read you your rights?

Hey any time I see someone getting arrested on TV they are read their rights, dont you guys watch COPS
 jk.....really though I would think they have to read you your rights if they are frikin putting you in hand cuffs --------------------  |

However, if they dont, evidence obtained from you after you have been placed in custody may not later be admissible in a criminal case against you.
