no dash lights CMON SOMEONE HELP Options

i installed a new deck in my car and ever since then my dash light has not been working. i checked the fuses, and im not sure if this is the right fuse but the fuse that is labeled panel was blown. it was a 7.5 mini fuse so i went and bought another one. i put it in and i start the car, and then that one blows as well. do u think it has something to do with my deck?

a short is when there is part of the wire that is exposed (in the middle or something) that is not supposed to be showing, and when it touches something metal it grounds (some wires aren't meant to be grounded)

to check for shorts have a look at all the wires and make sure there are none with a stripped spot on them somewhere, and usually yes, you can just wrap it with e-tape, or some heat-wrap. if it is bad enough you might have to run a new wire.

if your probel is your ground, then re-ground it. if you take some sandpaper and sand a bolt hole down to bare metal and then screw your ground in there that works really good.
