Hi Guys,
Anyone ever replaced the 1 wire oxygen sensor that came with their JDM 3sgte engine? Who sells the direct replacement. It seems only the 4 wire sensor is available for the 3sgte from toyota and other parts stores. I have read of people converting to the 4 wire type but none on the 3sgte that I can find. The 4 wire is supposed to be more efficient helping the mpg and emission. By the way, wiring the 4 wire type seems pretty straight forward, except where to tap into a +12volts source thats only on when the car is running. Any help will be appreciated.
thanks

Have you tried a 86 - 89 GTS sensor?

Just so you know, the heated type [3 or 4 wire] starts working earlier than the non heated type. So it really only effects emissions right after start.

Yeah, that's what I read also, the difference is start up and during idle or till tempt reaches above 620F or so.
The single wire ones for earlier model celicas are the ones without the flange and two bolts holes, doesn't look like it will fit.
