what is that big thing after the primaries on the exhaust manifold on my 7afe.

legally yes, but really no. you dont need that cat or the other cat, but from a legal standpoint you would be good to hang onto them or get a flanged highflow with enough capacity for a large (5.7-6.0L) V8 to swap in if you have to go for emissions and get the sniffer.
