Has anybody tried to put 8" subs where the rear speakers are at in a hatchback

Besides making the hole in your door and adding an aftermarket speaker grill, you'd probably have to get new doors or new interior panels. The problem I have seen is that the 4" speaker is one piece with the bracket and you either have to cut out the stock speaker to use the stock mount bracket, or you need to fab a new bracket to hold a different speaker, not to mention you need a speaker with a shallow mount depth or else you are going to have to cut a chunk out of your door.
With enough amps (and money), you can make your car have as many speakers as you want to. -------------------- |
