Well i need to buy some new tires and i can't decide btwn the 40series and the 45 series. The guy at the shop told me he won't sell me 45 series cuz my car's recommened size is w/ the 40.
I've had 45 and i like em, hows do the 40's compare in ride and performance. the dude told me that the 40 is a wider tire due to the smaller sidewall. T or F??? Since were on the subject...anyone ever try Kumho Ecsta SPT's before. I've read some good reviews on em. i might get those instead of the usual toyo proxes fz4. thanks dave |

I just got a set of Kumho Ecsta SPTs 225/45/17 for my Celi - got about 1000 miles on 'em so far. I like them a lot! Handle well in the wet and dry, nice braking. Have no idea how long they'll last, though. I've never had 40s on my Celi, but I've ridden on them in other cas. To me, the 45s give nice cornering and road feel, but they don't beat the crap out of you like the 40s.
Also, a great value for the money - they're not terribly expensive compared to some other tires. Samantha This post has been edited by Velliety: Oct 11, 2006 - 3:44 PM |
