I finally ordered and got my magnaflow muffler now I plan on getting a cat-back at a local muffler shop. I have 1.8 7afe a header. Just wanted some recommendations on size and how to run it, I've heard of people running it between the axle instead of above it???

Just stick with the way the factory exhaust piping is configured(over the axle) as long as the muffler shop can make mandrel bends in the custom piping. Go with a 2 1/4 in. pipe size from the cat back, and i'm sure you'll like the way the new exhaust will turn out . booo...go under your axel..its a short distance and less bending = better flow and its easier to mount and make..go with 2" or 2.25" most shops offer compression bends but that really isn't going to matter with your car over mandrel bends because well its a celica thats not boosted..just don't get crushed bend piping This post has been edited by playr158: Oct 11, 2006 - 8:16 PM |
