I just saw the hats G/B issue, and this got me thinking, the administration could be requiring a verified address, or some other information about the person to run the G/B to prevent fraud on the site.

I'm currently running a G/B and I collected ~us$3,000.00 I know noone wiill be rich with this money, but some people are willing to lose their respect and dignity for this amount. I understand that a tighter security might also make things harder for some nice folks that can get good deals on certain part, but I think is a price I'm willing to pay if as a result we don't have more scams affecting us.

I'm on the GB too, no offense but it crossed my mind that this could be a scam. I think Paypal helps alot, but it's still no gaurantee. Maybe if we had a website account that all GB's go through. Ya know like we paypal to the 6gc account then Coomer or the person in charge of the GB could send the money to the company we are dealing with. That way there is a clear record of the money tranfers.

wow good to know !

I don't think Coomer needs to be directly involve on the G/B, that's just gonna give him more stuff to do, as far as I know he's very busy already, when we join a G/B is done at our own risk, but what I'm thinking is since we all need approval from the administration in order to run a G/B they could be asking more personal information about the person running the G/B like Address, Home phone number stuff like that.
