i've been searching through the pages (hence why i'm bringing something back from the dead) trying to figure out what all i need to get together before doing this. my 7afe goes through a bit of oil, so i'm trying to make up my mind what to do. it seems pointless swapping a 7afe when they cost about the same amount.

anyway, i'd just be reusing my 5-speed tranny, its in great shape. so aside from that i can just use power steering lines from an ae92? i think i was reading in other posts about the coil and ahh..somethin else:P ignitor maybe?

i didn't see any info on clutches, so when replacing the clutch, what all work? 4age or 7afe or both?

as for the wiring, i haven't seen much how to on it. dr. tweak though i saw you offer to do the wiring for 350? does that take care of pretty much all of it?

sorry, all i've ever done were pretty much same engine swaps (usdm celica 2se to jdm camry 2se..not really a difference, besides dizzy, and egr), and i'm trying to figure out exactly what i'd be getting into. i've gone through 10 pages of search results...so i figured i'd just ask some questions kindasad.gif

thanks!

I've actually never tried using the AE92 GTS pressure power steering line, because 1. they're hard to locate and 2. a custom line is usually cheaper. Just take the fitting from the pump, and the fitting that goes to the rack on the old line, measure how long the line needs to be, and then take it all to a shop that makes hydralic hoses, and they should be able to hook you up for like $50-$75. For the a/c, you can do more or less the same thing if your stock lines won't work.

When you get your engine set, be sure that it comes with an uncut harness, ecu, AFM, and coil/ignitor.

A stock 7AFE clutch will work fine with your stock tranny, you can upgrade it to a stage 1 or 2 if you like.

Yes, I can make you a plug and play harness, the cost is $350 plus $30 for shipping, I need your 7AFE and the 4AGE harness.
