um.. i was just wondering... the trim on the outside around the side windows (i guess it's called weather strip or sumthin?)

on the edge above the window, starting from the top curve of the front window to the top curve of the rear window, is the trim supposed to be flush with the body of the car or is there supposed to be a gap between the weather strip and the body?
