so i got my car back after my mechanic changed the timing belt but now i can hear this weird noise when the rpm's increase say when i push my gas pedal. It is a high pitched sound. actually my 5fse engine sounds like it had 200 horse power now

a squeal is probably a loose belt. i'm guessing alternator or power steering. either way you should be able to tighten it up no problem.

I agree. You said that they replaced your alternator belt, well some belts (depending on the manufacturer) need to be re-tightened after they have been run awhile. -------------------- ![]() |
