jsut wondering....is it possible to paint a carbon fiber hood???

I saw a pic a few months ago of a burgundy/maroon colored car with a CF hood that had a thin layer of burgundy/maroon painted on it, so that the CF pattern still showed through up close, but from a distance the hood had the same hue as the rest of the car. Definitely another option that looks cool, but I'm not exactly sure how it was done or where I saw it.

Definitely another option that looks cool, but I'm not exactly sure how it was done or where I saw it. iirc the top gear episode on the ferrari f50 they showed how, close up, you could see a little of the carbon fiber pattern through the red paint. i saw it on youtube, it was either the f50 or the f40. |
