The other day I was driving up a big looong hill, and decided it give er a bit. I was boosting around 10-11 that night, got up to about 5500-6000 rpm and then she TOTALLY bogged down. It felt like someone slammed on the brakes. This is the first time its done this. I have a hks fcd installed. is there any way to "test" it to see if it working properly?
I also noticed my EGT's were high (1400+) and as soon as I let up they started to drop back down. Any input? This post has been edited by 6gsillyca: Oct 15, 2006 - 9:06 PM |

Fitting an FCD is suicide, pure & simple.
The fuel cut is there for a reason, the reason is it stops the car leaning out, want to know what leaning out is… you probably just did it!! Your fuel leaned out, the intake temps went sky high, EGT’s go through the roof, loadsa knock, ecu retards timing & brings in the VSV you feel a sudden slam & car runs like a 3 legged dog. So many owners have killed their engines over here because of the FCD’s… no one uses them anymore ![]() |
