so i just bought 20sq feet of dynamat and i was wondering if anyone has ideas as to where the best spots to put it are. also has anyone tried using the original to go on side panels or is it only for the floors.

Get it hot. Damn hot. My shop always used a commerical heat gun. We had to wear leather gloves to handle it. Also wipe down the areas you plan to apply it with acetone or laquer thinner to get the surface really clean. Just keep the solvent away from the heat gun. Then just apply it and put as much pressure as you can onto it. A wooden or hard plastic roller helps.
As for where to put it. Door panels will help alot. The rear wheel wells also put alot of noise into the car especially when it's raining. Then if you have any left start covering the floor. |
