hey i was close to buying a few celica gt's, but i got a damn good deal on a 99 mustang v6. ive been wondering tho. which would wine in a race? the celi, or the stang? in a drag race completely stock both cars.dont hate me because i dont drive a celica, i really admire the cars. but all the ones i found were more expensive than i could really afford. but, i'll get on for my next car for sure. gonna be crazy driving a stang in the winter. thanks, erich

well, consumerguide.com says that 1994-2004 mustang V6's had 145-190 hp... it doesn't say which ones had 145 and which had 190, but if I were to guess, I'd say that they had 145 before they were given a bit of a facelift (2000?) and 190 after. and the car weighs like 600 punds more (even more for a convertible)
So I think it's fair to say a GT could beat a pre-facelift mustang V6 fairly easily. as for ST... maybe not... -------------------- ![]() 94 GT - Sold -------- 69 Pontiac Lemans - Sold 88 Alltrac - Sold ---- 04 WRX - Sold 00 GT-S - Sold ------ 91 Miata - project/drift car 95 GT - Sold -------- 96 GT - New Daily Drive |
