me and my buddies were all just chillin near my car one day and one of them pointed out that i had a lot of rust near my tires. i never noticed it before till now, but i was wondering if I should be worried about this. is this bad for my car? what should i do? if anything.

If you have rust then yes you need to do something about it or it will spread, I am not aware of rust problems on the 6g in the UK and our weather/roads are crap. It might point to a bad repair/spray job at some point. You need to stop it before it gets any worse.

Hi Mate, I'm from Berkshire too.

Have you or anyone got any hints on how to stop rust in these areas:
1. The wiper arms by the rivert area
2. Screw areas under the arches and sills where the skirts were removed by the previous owner
3. Rust blisters bubbling under panel near the indicators on front wheel arches
4. The brakes - i'll Hammerite it i think.

Do you reckon it's a good idea to get a large car cover (like tent material) to protect from snow in winter?
