Steff, while that may work, the best bet is to use a SPDT relay.
Terminal 30 would go to a fused +12 volt power wire, 87 would go to the positive wires on the sidemarkers (which you'd cut,) 85 would go to ground and 86 would splice into the green/black wire that goes to the turn signal on the left side, or the green/yellow wire that goes to the turn signal on the right side. And they don't make dual filament 194 bulbs for the sidemarkers by the way. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
