whats up guys, i had a question, i just got a 3s swap, and im thinkng about getting a suspension upgrade, the problem is along with that comes the lowering of the car most often. i really dont want to lower my car because I KNOW FOR A FACT that something bad will happen (my intercooler is about as low as my lip) i wish i could show you guys pics. what should i do? im tired of that horrible fender gap, an dmy car handles funny when going around turns (body roll)
any help would be appreciated! -------------------- |

QUOTE(Jaws4God @ Oct 26, 2006 - 9:21 PM) airbags... no thanks jaws! i drive mine daily lol! QUOTE(Silver94CelicaOwner @ Oct 26, 2006 - 9:26 PM) Suspension upgrade doesn't always mean drasticly lower. If you purchase a full coilover suspension like the Tein SuperStreet dampers, Ground Control + Koni Yellows, etc.....you'll have a higher spring rate (more so with the Teins), adjustable struts to allow for less flex, and you could if you wanted keep the ride height the same. With the avalability of ride-height adjustment, you can tailor exactly how high or low the car sits based on performance or drivability needs. If you were to get nice sticky tires, coilover suspension, sway bars, etc, you could have amazing handling and not sacrifice one bit of ground clearance if thats what you'd like. im thinking about getting thicker tires (i have 205 40s) what are good coilovers? and how much compared to the typical 6gc tein s tech and kyb shocks? ive heard bad things about coilovers, which is why i thought to aviod them my main concern is scraping, (they cant build driveways worth a damn around here) and hitting something in the road like a shoe or a small piece of shredded tire (sometimes unavoidable unles you straddle) This post has been edited by easternpiro1: Oct 26, 2006 - 9:35 PM -------------------- |
