whats up guys, i had a question, i just got a 3s swap, and im thinkng about getting a suspension upgrade, the problem is along with that comes the lowering of the car most often. i really dont want to lower my car because I KNOW FOR A FACT that something bad will happen (my intercooler is about as low as my lip) i wish i could show you guys pics. what should i do? im tired of that horrible fender gap, an dmy car handles funny when going around turns (body roll)
any help would be appreciated! -------------------- |

Easternpiro, when you quoted my response before you answered your own question- you had asked which coilovers were good and I stated Teins or GC.
If you'd like the best, buy Tein SuperStreet fully adjustable coilovers like I have on my car. Ground Control with an adjustable shock isn't bad, I've driven an RSX with GC installed but heres the main difference......they aren't a one-piece assembly unlike the Teins which are, its just a perch that sits in your stock strut design and is liable to move around more and "pop" when they are fully extended and re-seat themselves. In my honest opinion, I would never buy something that wasn't perfectly matched but they do work and are more cost effective than a full coilover. IMO, you get what you pay for and the Tein system is just more performance oriented altogether. If you want the absolute best handling you can get while still being able to adjust ride height to stock levels, start with good tires, then buy the Tein coilovers and you'll be very happy. Or, if money is more tight you could get the GC+Koni combo, which is capable of the same goal for less money. Either way a great place to start is a set of great tires and sway bars, then take it from there as to what you really want and can afford to do. -------------------- 3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting. |
