i was looking in my fuse box and found a 20a fuse labled "seat htr". looked it up in my owners manual and it says "seat heater: no circuit", yet it does get power when the car is turned on. so why is it there? did our cars ever have heated seats? if so, how were they turned on?

I think its optional now that i think about my car wiring. Underneath my seat there was a plug that goes no where. I remember my convertible had it and it didnt plug no where and the one i have currently right now doesnt plug anywhere either. So im guessing thats the seat heater plug.
