went to a local dyno day and did some pulls. there seems to have been a problem with the ignition pickup, so some of the data is missing from a few of the runs. they ended up giving me about 7 runs total for 55bucks (not bad)... but i only ended up with a few useful ones. next time im bringing a video camera with me to record my gauges and wideband while i dyno so that i can remember exactly what boost level i was at for each run.
this would have been my best run, but as you can see the ignition pickup dropped out during the run. grrr. ![]() this one is probably the best and cleanest run, with no data missing. ![]() This post has been edited by lagos: Nov 5, 2006 - 2:52 PM -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

QUOTE(kbprice @ Nov 5, 2006 - 6:52 PM) QUOTE(lagos @ Nov 5, 2006 - 4:03 PM) i was talking to nuke, and he seems to think i can gain a nice 20hp if i add more fuel at the same boost level as that 1st sheet that i posted. woot! That doesn't make sense. The first run you looked lean, AFR's around 13-14. The second run you appeared to have more fuel, AFR's around 11-12. With more fuel you lost a little HP and 20ft/lbs of torque. The second curve looks good A/F wise I would say another pound or two would be about as much as you could safely run with your setup as it is. Put some 103 octane in the tank and turn it up 5 pounds and see what that will get you. ![]() sometimes not enough fuel will loose you HP. leaner doesn't always make more power. in the 2nd pic, i was at about 13psi. the car made a peak hp at: RPM / HP / TQ / A/f 5.60 / 229.98 / 214.76 / 11.39 then in the 1st pic, the boost was somewhere around 15psi the A/f ratio went leaner, yet the power didnt change at all. the idea is, that if im running more boost, and i add more fuel, i should gain some power. RPM / HP / TQ / A/F 5.60 / 230.14 / 216.02 / 12.78 This post has been edited by lagos: Nov 5, 2006 - 8:15 PM -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
