The truth about ssac/xs/or any other downpipe for under 100$:

- It is not stainless, it is stainless plated. That means it will not look shiny at all after some driving around and it can corrode rather easly - i painted mine with VHT ceramic header paint that you can buy at autozone.

- Welding quality can and will differ, and they wont let you return poorly welded downpipe. If your lucky chances are you got a good one from a good batch and it will last - i had a welder reinforce mine with a spider net just for peace of mind reasons.

- Gaskets included in the package are crappy, gotta get real steel gaskets.

- Wastegate clerance issue is quite frequent - make sure you gasket match the flange and reasure that there is no flange sticking out past the gasket (on the inside of course). Grind off any excess.

- Alignment in my situation was really bad - probably the worst part about cheap downpipes, i had to make a 0.5" spacer to connect the downpipe to my flexi.

- Make sure you get the support bracked - i had to buy mine from KO racing because ssac wouldn't send me one. Also make sure you use it otherwise it WILL crack.

- block-off screws for sensors come out while driving make sure you tighten them
- in some cases it gets in the way of intercooler piping - it did in my case.

I have a gen2 xs power downpipe on my gen3 - you have to skip one stud but it wont leak. The bigger problem is the alignment with rest of exhaust piping.
