im don't know where to post this but im thinking about getting one for my car. are they legal in the state of california?

I have the Escort Passport 8500 X50 or whatever, cost me about 250 got it around june. It works really well, yeah you get some false alarms (like when your close to a best buy or any store that uses electronic doors) but you get used to it.
Like everybody else said, dont rely on just the detector otherwise you'll get caught, mine has started beeping a good minute or two before seeing a cop acouple turns and dips ahead when he was using his gun constantly. However, many times i've driven by cops that are just sitting using either the pop or laser, and no matter what you have, you're screwed because they already got you. Anyways, the escort is a good buy, but like everybody said here, don't rely on it 100%, it is nice to have tho. |
