Revv matching i think thats what its called, it is when you get up to a certain rpm that you are able to shift gears without using your clutch pedal! my question is, is this technique bad? i mean when i shift it, there is no grinding of gears and it feels like a normal shift whether i'm using the clutch pedal or not.

i do this all the time on my gsxr, it's easy once you figure out how to do it.
however, i wouldn't recommend it on a car, just be quick on shifting and you'll be okay. |

QUOTE(sinner96ST @ Oct 29, 2006 - 10:27 PM) i do this all the time on my gsxr, it's easy once you figure out how to do it. however, i wouldn't recommend it on a car, just be quick on shifting and you'll be okay. your bike has dog engeggement and stright cut gears m8. thats how they do it at races with dogbox. its harder to rev macth with helical cut gears. -------------------- ![]() |
