i believe he means a "sport" in the same context as hunting in the states is called a "sport". it's not like people go out and do it as a team and keep score, or anything like that.

all he's asking is if it takes place in canada, as the article suggests, whether it be legal or not.

so, it's a simple yes or no question, mike:

Does it take place in Canada, whether legal or illegal?

Yes or no, and that will be the end of it.

As to the legality of the seal hunt, he could have googled it, it takes 3 seconds, I don't see why he would make a topic other than the fact that he wanted to draw attention to it and make a bad name for Canada.

if hunting and sport are different how come hunting is in the defenition of sport you just posted?!
