Hey guys

So Xmas is coming up and the family still asks me for a list of things that i need/want for christmas, and i figured the only thing i need is tools for working on my car... however i dont exactly know what tools i need or will need in the future, so i was hoping you guys could help me make a little list of the most common/useful tools.

What i plan on doing:
Changing oil, Changing tires, Changing spark plugs, electrical maintenance, random custom projects

Tools i think are necessary:
Generic tool set (w/ all screwdrivers and ratchets and pliers)
ratchet extension
click type torque wrenches (What ft-lb rating should i get ?)
Spark plug gapper
Dremel
Jack + Stands
good soldering iron
Wire stripper
Metal Files

Anything else you guys can add ?

-extendable magnet
-volt tester
-needle nose pliers
-needle nose vice grips
-NICE jack stands, 2 ton jack, and roller. They're a lifesaver.
-BREAKER BAR!(an absolute necessity)
-crow bar
-mini sledge
-like soulshadow said, and compressor and air gun can save you hours.
-2 or 3 different size and type of racket sets is NOT too many. Trust me...
-pickle forks are very useful for replacing axles and spindles especially.
-You'll be surprised how often you'll use a huge(biggest you can find) flat head screwdriver.

That should get you pretty far.....although if you're family really gets you that much stuff you christmas you might as well ask for another Celica while your at it. =D
