My wideband is always displaying that I'm running pig rich... Cruising down the highway in 4th.. or 5th.. whatever speed.. infact any time I'm driving.. it's in the 12's on the wideband.. When I go into boost the wideband reads off the gauge rich.. which is a good thing but I can't figure out why when I'm just cruising down the highway with a high manifold vacuum that I'd be running so fricken rich..
Tonight I was comin down and I decided to shut the engine off and let the car coast for a few seconds.. I restarted it and saw that my AFR was much better.. now in the 14's while cruising along.. that lasted for about a minute then it went back to pig rich.. low 12's and high 11's. Any suggestions? Even at idle it'll be rich.. typically in the 13's.. sometimes mid to high 12's even.. -------------------- 87 4runner DLX 22re, 5spd, 4.30gr, 4" lift, 30" tires, HID w/ Projectors, 6spkr + sub, custom exhaust, 94 celica leather seats, SR5 gauge cluster and clinometer. Future engine swap... possibly a 2jzge.

If not, once you use the accellerator, your vacuum decreases and you can actually reach positive manifold pressure just by driving normally at highway speeds (particularly with a small turbo). If so, you will come down from stoic afr. -------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |
